GoFinanz is a business financing consulting firm. Protecting the privacy and data of our visitors and users is one of our top priorities.

2. Data We Collect

a) Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

b) Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images.

c) Cookies

  • If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you do not have to fill in your details again when leaving another comment. These cookies will last one year.

  • When you visit our login page, a temporary cookie will be set to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

  • When you log in, we set several cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last two days, and screen options cookies last one year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will persist for two weeks. When you log out, the login cookies are removed.

  • If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser, containing only the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.

d) Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly the same as if the visitor visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content, including tracking if you have an account and are logged into that website.

3. Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
We never sell your data to third parties. However, it may be shared with technical service providers (hosting, security, spam detection) solely to ensure the operation of the site.

4. How Long We Retain Your Data

  • Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them for moderation.

  • For users who register on our site (if applicable), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also view and edit this information.

  • to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided;

  • the erasure of personal data we hold about you, except data we are required to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
